Stephen Bly’s novels of the West are always a delight. I’m an old desert rat myself, and I appreciate a good yarn.
Stephen’s latest release is Throw the Devil off the Train, and it promises to be an action-packed adventure:
It’s 1880. Catherine Draper has got to escape from Virginia…and she’s desperate that no one knows her real last name. She’s on her way to Paradise Springs to join her fiancé Philip for a fresh start. She’ll do almost anything to find the means to get there.
Race Hillyard’s bent on revenge for his brother’s death…and seeks rest and sleep for his exhaustion. He collides with Catherine at the train station while she’s in a compromising situation. They despise each other on sight. But it’s a long, cramped, chaotic ride from Omaha to Sacramento. . .and something evil’s on board. Will they make a truce long enough to throw the devil off the train?
Now that’s what I call exciting.
Stephen has graciously agreed to give away a copy of Throw the Devil Off the Train, so add a comment if you’d like to be included in the drawing.
It sounds like a fun read!
Linda: Thanks so much for this feature on your blog. Sorry I am slow to respond. Am in a hospital bed and do not get online very often these days.
But still on the trail,
Steve
Sounds like a great book,
There’s nothing like an enemy to bring people together! Love the setting — great title. I’m looking forward to reading Throw the Devil off the Train.
Steve’s books always captivate me from the first sentence to the last. I am always amazed at how well he can write his women characters….course he is married to a magnificent example! He has the right blend of tough, tender, and everything in between. I apprecaite how no matter what is going on in the sotry that the underlining message is about our loving Heavenly Father. He is the answer to everything in our lives. Thanks
Stephen, I had no idea you were down (but not out). Please know I’m praying for you. Throw the Devil Off the Hospital Bed! Feel better, friend! ~Linda
