Ariel Allison and I are the last two novelists in Abingdon’s fiction launch. Her suspense novel, Eye of the god, is the first novel to explore the curse of the Hope Diamond. When international jewel thieves attempt to steal the legendary Hope Diamond from the Smithsonian, curator Abigail Mitchell stands in their way. She soon realizes only she holds the pieces to the complicated puzzle in a deadly game. Her faith is tested as she confronts her own demons and risks her life because of the gem.
Eye of the god is Ariel’s debut novel, but, like me, she has published other books, including coauthoring Daddy Do You Love Me: A Daughter’s Journey of Faith and Restoration. She also writes for www.ChristianDevotions.us.
The Fence My Father Built contains a similar theme of father-daughter relationships, and both Abigail and my character Muri must confront their feelings about being abandoned. Ariel and I may be the last of the Abingdon initial line, but we hope to join our fellow Abingdons in making waves in the women’s fiction category. Purchase these books at any bookstore, at Cokesbury.com or at Amazon.
