A Note From Linda

While I Recover

To all my treasured writer subscribers:

On Monday, June 3rd, 2019, I will be having carpal tunnel surgery on my dominant hand. Typing may or may not be possible for a few days. Instead of reposting old material, I invite you to scroll through my archives, or find great tips on Twitterific, a terrific weekly list curated by Elizabeth Span Craig.

Then, on June 24, I’m undergoing a second, bigger surgery to repair my badly torn rotator cuff on my dominant shoulder. Recovery is six weeks in a restrictive sling, so again, typing may be interesting—along with eating, drinking and other routine daily activities. I’ll do what I can to post new writing tips, but I thank you in advance for your patience as I recover from these surgeries.

In the meantime, please stop by for writing tips you can
actually use—and KEEP WRITING!

  1. Good luck with your surgeries. I’ve had the carpal tunnel one and it’s a nuisance but then it heals so you should never have to worry about it again. The rotator cuff – I’m still nursing mine along after a fall down some stairs, but it will be good enough without surgery. Best of luck to you with yours. You’ll be fine!

    • Anneli,
I am sore and mostly hunting and pecking to type but as you predicted, I’m fine! Thanks for being a faithful reader.
      Keep Writing!

  2. Hi Linda,

Hope your carpal tunnel surgery went well.

What time is your other surgery if you know?

    Blessings,

    Michael

    • Michael,
I’m sore but came through it all right, PTL! My next, more challenging surgery on my shoulder will be in 3 weeks on June 24.
Thanks for your concern and prayers.
      Keep Writing!

  3. I hope both surgeries go well for you, Linda. Take care of yourself. We will all still be here when you are ready to come back. Thanks so much for all the great tips. I have benefitted so much from reading your emails.

    • Diane,

  4. Linda,

I was your RN for about 4 hours on 6/25 and what a delight it was to meet you! I have emailed my sister in law who is also a writer about meeting you.

My very best wishes for a speedy recovery so you can have your most useful arm back!
