As promised I’m taking time from my busy conference schedule to pass along some of the stuff I’m hearing.
Writing Tip for Today: General Target Audience: Who are you writing to? What is your typical reader like? Maybe, he/she is a lot like you, suggests Sr. Ed. Nick Harrison from Harvest House Publishers. Maybe you’re writing the book you wished you could go to a store and buy.
Or, maybe you are able to imagine a panel of twelve jurors. These 12 are people you respect, love or admire. Every time you sit down to write, think of yourself writing to these people. If/when you get off track, let these people gently guide you back onto your book’s path.
Tomorrow: Transmedia and You.
What a great little tip!
