Introducing Hidden in Dreams by Davis Bunn

Davis Bunn’s new release, Hidden in Dreams (Howard Books) is exciting in several ways–not the least of which is an intriguing theme woven into the blanket of psychological suspense. I was drawn by the excellent writing, the compelling subject of pharmaceuticals and their side effects and the brisk pace. I had to learn the story’s outcome in this maze of manipulation and deception.

As the parent of twins as well as the parent of adult children who’ve struggled with different types of mental illness and the ubiquitous medications that so often accompany a diagnosis, I felt connected to the story from the start. That a world-wide scandal such as the one in the story might happen in real life was not a stretch for me. Since World War I, biologicals have been tried as a means of world domination by deranged dictators and governments. Global finance is a fact of life in the twenty-first century, so corruption on that level seems frighteningly plausible. But should some maniac try to implement a similar plot, let’s hope that the faith portrayed in Hidden in Dreams prevails.

This book is good, and I’m almost sorry I said I’d do a give away. But I did, so if you’d like a copy of Hidden in Dreams, leave a comment! I’ll announce the book recipient on Wednesday, August 22. NOTE: I’ve been asked to extend this giveaway until Monday August 27–so get your requests in for Hidden in Dreams!

Here’s the video trailer!

About Hidden in Dreams

Just when the world’s foremost expert on dream analysis, Dr. Elena Burroughs, thinks she is getting her life back under control after losing her position at Oxford University and the man she hoped to fall in love with, she is approached by Rachel Lamprey, the product manager of an innovative new ADHD treatment about to hit the market.

Rachel asks for Elena’s help with a clinical trial participant who has had a disturbing dream foretelling a cataclysmic global financial collapse. But even more alarming is the fact that fifteen people scattered across the globe—including Elena herself—begin to experience the same repetitive, devastating dreams of economic ruin just as one bank crisis follows another, suggesting that these aren’t merely dreams.

As Elena searches for answers in her professional networks, she is forced to form an unlikely alliance with her most vehement critic and is drawn back into the spotlight as the public face of the so-called dreamers. As Elena and her collaborators attempt to discover the dreams’ source, the clock ticks down to devastation. Suddenly, it’s no longer just about the dreams. It’s about survival.

  1. While I’ve been reading your post by emails for several months I’ve never posted before. Hidden in Dreams intrigued me since I, too, have adult children who have experienced emotional/mental health issues. I’d love a copy of Hidden in Dreams.

    Thanks for you helpful advise.

His books blend together the best elements of a good read -intrigue & suspense, charaters living life as Christians and very interesting plots. 6. I cannot wait to read the newest Dreams book! Book of Dreams was not a run of the mill Christian novel; it dealt with something the bible says we will see in the last days ~ “our old men will dream dreams.” I’m sure in “Hidden in Dreams” Davis has another hit!

  7. Davis Bunn is an inspiration and I love the heart of his stories. This looks fascinating to me. Reminds me of the books he wrote under the name of T. Davis Bunn. I’d love to read this book. Thanks for having this opportunity and posting it at TBCN Facebook page where I saw it!!

    Blessings
