Writing in the Dark

I follow Dani Shapiro’s blog, Moments of Being, and each time she posts, it’s like saving the best chocolate for last. Today she reminds me that by writing in the dark I am creating a place for myself in the world. Dani is such an exquisite writer. Her words always stay with me, permeating my writing day.
Writing Tip for Today: Maybe you read my blog in order to mine little tricks of the trade or to reaffirm your connection to the writing world. I concentrate on pithy, easy to digest little tips, but a writer cannot live by tips alone. I believe we all need an inspiration, some beautiful words or thoughts that propel us back into the wonder of writing. Whether you find your inspiration in poetry, the Bible or in a blog like Dani’s, don’t forget to feed your soul.
